The firm of Kenneth J. Allen & Associates approaches
work injury cases with one fundamental understanding. No employee
should ever be faced with the decision, “Should I do
the job as asked, in a way that is not safe, or should I go
home, risking my paycheck if not my job?” Yet each day
across the United States, we know this is exactly the false
choice employees are given.
Kenneth Allen was born in Gary, Indiana, a few miles from
a steel mill. Everyone he knew worked there or had a loved
one who did. He worked in the mills during his summers off
from school and to this day remains a 25-year member of the
Carpenter’s Union. He’s a former union teamster
and railroad track laborer. He recalls it being “hot
nasty work.” That memory fuels him and his team each
day when they sit down in their comfortable air-conditioned
office to fight for working people. It makes it easy to come
in early and stay late.
In addition to medical and engineering experts, the firm
also employs former OSHA inspectors to help build such cases.
They are familiar with the minutia of industry standards and
regulations.
