Thyssenkrupp Safway, Inc.- Defendant- subcontractor hired to design and erect scaffolding
What was the cause?
Kasparian was prohibits from accessing his work through the interior of the building because non-union contractors were working on the interior. However, the scaffolding did not align evenly with the balconies on the exterior of the building. When forced to climb over a railing onto a 19th floor balcony to complete his work, Kasparian fell.
