Wrongful Death: Indiana Statutes, Attorneys’ Fees, Trial Tactics

November 2018 CLE Seminar: Bryan L. Bradley, Program Chair

Preventable accidents that result in the death of their victims are tragedies that can never be fully recompensed emotionally or financially.

This is particularly true given the recent research studies released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) regarding fatal traffic crash data.  More and more, people are perishing in motor vehicle accidents caused by “reckless behaviors” (e.g., speeding, alcohol impairment, and not wearing seat belts), with motorcyclists and pedestrians at a particularly high risk of death.

Those practicing law in the State of Indiana are also well aware of Indiana’s unique legislative approach to wrongful death both in our three distinct wrongful death statutes and in how they are interpreted and applied by our courts.

Wrongful Death Seminar

Accordingly, Kenneth J. Allen Law Group is pleased to announce that KAL’s Bryan L. Bradley will be program chair for a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Seminar focusing entirely on Indiana wrongful death cases dealing with those who are victims of fatal, preventable accidents and their loved ones.

KAL trial attorney Thomas R. Benton is also on the faculty for this seminar, discussing aspects and issues regarding “Wrongful Death Probate.”

The seminar is presented by Indiana Continuing Legal Education Foundation and will take place on November 2, 2018 between 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Eastern) at the ICLEF Conference Facility, 230 E. Ohio Street, 5th Floor, Indianapolis, IN 46204.  A live individual webcast is also available for those who are unable to attend the Indianapolis event.
